General information about the Cl@ve identification system
Cl@ve is the common electronic identification system that allows citizens to authenticate themselves securely in their transactions with Public Administrations. Thanks to Cl@ve , you can access digital services easily, with full security guarantees and without having to use multiple passwords or certificates.
To use Cl@ve , you must register first. There are four registration methods, organized into two levels according to the level of security required:
Basic level
- Online with Automatic Video Identification NEW!
- Online with invitation letter
Advanced level
- Online, after manual review of automatic video identification NEW!
- Online with electronic certificate or DNIe
- In person at a registry office
If you register online using automatic video identification or with invitation letter , you will receive a basic registration level . This level allows you to access many services, but is not valid for all , and you will not be able to use Cl@ve Signature .
To access procedures that require greater security, you will need an advanced registration level which you can obtain:
- Through video identification reviewed by a public employee (no need to appear in person).
- With electronic certificate or DNIe
- In person at an office
Once you complete registration for any of the options, you will receive:
- A notification on your mobile device , if you did it by video identification.
- A Welcome SMS to the mobile number you registered
From that moment on, you can use the Cl@ve Mobile system from the Cl@ve APP and start identifying yourself in public services.
