Practical guide for completing census form 036

Embassies, Consulates and Commercial Offices of foreign countries in Spain (N)

  • Document proving the existence of the Embassy, Consulate or Commercial Office
  • Photocopy of the NIF of the person who signs the census declaration, who must be a person with capacity or a representative. If the interested party appears before the Tax Authority, it will not be necessary to provide a photocopy of the NIF , provided that he/she authorizes the bodies of the AEAT to verify his/her identity data.
  • Original and photocopy of the document that proves the status of the person who signs the census declaration.

If the documentation provided is considered to be incomplete or does not sufficiently prove the existence of the Embassy or Consulate in the corresponding province, a letter may be sent to the Government Delegation to certify that the embassy or consulate in question is duly accredited, that the address is correct and which country it belongs to.
