January 10, 2023.- Customs Surveillance officials from the Tax Agency and agents from the National Police, in a joint operation, have dismantled an organization dedicated to drug trafficking in Dos Hermanas (Seville), which has culminated in the arrest of three residents of the Nazarene town as alleged perpetrators of a crime against public health.

The operation, called 'Búcaro-Palace', began in early 2022, when investigators detected an active group of individuals in Dos Hermanas who were allegedly engaged in the cultivation of marijuana for later distribution.

As a result of the investigation, the suspects were identified and several properties were located that were allegedly being used to grow the plants. Specifically, they involved two homes located in the Los Montecillos neighbourhood and a chalet located in a residential area on the outskirts of Dos Hermanas.

On December 20, after obtaining the corresponding judicial authorizations, the operation was carried out, resulting in the seizure of more than 5,600 marijuana plants in different stages of growth, a high-end vehicle and cash.

In addition, three arrests were made, all of the detainees being natives and residents of the Seville town of Dos Hermanas, who were placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities, accused of crimes against public health, along with the drugs and the confiscated effects.

The joint operation, carried out by the Customs Surveillance Operational Unit of Seville and the National Police, remains open and further arrests are not ruled out.
