Open Administration Week at the Tax Agency
Within the framework of Open Administration Week 2023, the Tax Agency has actively participated, organizing more than one hundred events.
The Week, promoted and coordinated by the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration, through the General Directorate of Public Governance, is an initiative promoted worldwide by the Open Government Partnership, to which Spain belongs since its foundation in 2011. The aim of the Alliance is to organise events in all member States and Communities to bring governments and administrations closer to citizens and to promote the values of transparency and accountability, citizen participation, public integrity and social collaboration.
Between March 20 and 24, 2023, the Tax Agency opened its doors to the public by holding conferences, seminars, visits or other organized events, so that anyone could learn about its operation, main services or current issues, such as developments related to the development of Law 11/2021, on Measures for the Prevention and Fight against Tax Fraud, or recent tax changes in special and environmental taxes.
These events have covered a wide range of recipients, including schools, colleges and universities, the elderly and other vulnerable groups affected by the digital divide, as well as professional associations.
