April 4, 2024.- Customs Surveillance of the Tax Agency and the National Police, within the framework of a joint operation, have carried out an operation against the cultivation of marijuana, dismantling a criminal organization based in the Seville neighborhood of Palmete.
As a result of the joint work of Customs Surveillance in Seville and National Police officers, a property was located in the area that raised suspicions that it could house an indoor marijuana plantation.
Once the necessary evidence was gathered and the individuals responsible for the property were identified, the court ordered the entry and search, which resulted in the seizure of 205 marijuana plants in an advanced state of flowering, several bags of buds ready for sale and more than 6,000 euros in cash. Several bladed weapons were also seized, as well as a crossbow and a harpoon launcher.
In addition, it was found that the suspects had installed illegal lighting in the property, with the consequent risk of fire and danger to people's safety, in addition to the financial damage resulting from the fraud.
For all these reasons, five individuals were arrested as alleged perpetrators of crimes against public health and electrical fluid fraud, who, once the police proceedings were completed, were placed at the disposal of the Judicial Authority.
