January 20, 2024.- Officials of the Customs Surveillance Operational Unit of the Tax Agency in Tenerife and agents of the Tax and Border Section of the Civil Guard of the Port of Santa Cruz, have arrested an individual as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health, in its form of drug trafficking.

After identifying and interviewing the now accused, the officers were able to verify that he was in a nervous state at all times, which led them to decide to carry out a superficial inspection of the vehicle.

Inside the car, hidden in different compartments, 518 hashish pills weighing 51.6 kilos and 185 euros in cash were found.

The actions have been carried out by the tax inspection points that have been located on the dock of the port of Tenerife upon the arrival of maritime line ships.
