Two men arrested and seven kilos of cocaine seized in the port of Palma de Mallorca

February 27, 2024.- Officials of the Customs Surveillance Service of the Tax Agency and agents of the National Police have arrested two men of Ecuadorian and Colombian origin, aged 35 and 48, respectively, as alleged perpetrators of a drug trafficking crime.
On February 25, the Customs Surveillance Service in Mallorca, in collaboration with the National Police's Narcotics Group I, seized ten packages of cocaine weighing approximately seven kilos in the port of Palma.
As part of the collaboration between the two bodies, a device was established in the port of Palma to control passengers arriving by boat from the peninsula.
The team carried out a check on several individuals arriving in different vehicles, with the collaboration of the National Police Canine Guides, leading to the arrest of two people for drug trafficking, with one and six kilograms of cocaine being found in their vehicles, respectively.
The detainees will be brought before a court in the next few hours.
