April 17, 2025.- The Tax Agency and the National Police, within the framework of Operation 'Inka', have dismantled a marijuana production center located in a recently built building in the town of Anglesola (Lleida) that was partially occupied by a criminal group. In this operation, led by the Cervera Court of Instruction No. 1, six Spanish nationals have been arrested so far.
During the exploitation phase, carried out in the early hours of April 7 after several months of preliminary investigation, the building was entered by members of the Response and Intervention Groups (GRI) assigned to the Regional Customs and Excise Office of Catalonia, as well as by National Police officers.
Once security was guaranteed inside the building and the organization's main leaders, who lived on different floors within, were arrested, the judicial delegation, along with officers from the Lleida Customs Surveillance Operational Unit and the National Police, was able to enter the building and proceeded to search it.

During the search, three homes in the building were found converted into marijuana grow rooms, while nine others were illegally occupied as permanent residences by members of the organization and their families. Two of the homes were even used for mixed purposes, including lodging and growing marijuana.
Both the plantations and the homes illegally tapped electricity from a nearby transformer, so the organization's members are also charged with alleged electricity fraud. On the same morning of the search, the electricity supply company proceeded to cut off the supply and disable the illegal connections.
As a result of the search, a total of 324 marijuana plants, more than 20 kilos of buds, and cash allegedly derived from illegal drug trafficking were seized. The total value of the drugs seized would have exceeded 500,000 euros.
A large number of halogen bulbs, fans, carbon filters, water pumps, air conditioning compressors, and phytosanitary products, all necessary for indoor marijuana cultivation, were also found. These were either disabled or destroyed on-site in compliance with the court order.
The seized drugs and the detainees have been handed over to Cervera Investigative Court No. 1, and their imprisonment has been ordered.
The investigation by Customs Surveillance and National Police officials remains open, so further arrests cannot be ruled out in the coming days.
