A criminal organization dedicated to robbery and drug trafficking has been dismantled in Murcia.

  • Eleven individuals of different nationalities have been arrested, members of a highly hierarchical organization, who are considered the perpetrators of various robberies, including one committed against a company in Murcia for a value exceeding 500,000 euros.

  • The collaboration and coordinated and ongoing work between the Customs Surveillance of the Tax Agency and the National Police has allowed its dismantling and the recovery of numerous stolen objects.

March 14, 2025.- Customs Surveillance Officers of the Tax Agency and agents of the National Police have proceeded to the arrest of eleven people of different nationalities, for the commission of crimes of belonging to a criminal organization, drug trafficking and robbery with force. The detainees are believed to be members of a criminal organization based in the city of Murcia, with extensive multi-criminal activity, dedicated to both the cultivation of marijuana and the perpetration of "vuelcos" (overturns) for other criminal groups, as well as the commission of major robberies in businesses and establishments.

The ongoing, coordinated fight between Customs Surveillance and the National Police against various crimes in the Region of Murcia has led to a significant joint investigation in recent months, identifying and arresting members of this organization and determining their involvement in numerous burglaries committed in the city of Murcia.

Among them, the robbery of a machinery company in the city of Murcia last January was worth mentioning. The perpetrators stole various specialized tools and electrical equipment worth more than €500,000.

The final phase of the investigation involved the simultaneous search of twelve homes in the city of Murcia by Customs Surveillance agents and the National Police. The searches resulted in the seizure of narcotics, firearms, stun guns, vehicles used in the robberies, and cash, as well as the recovery of a significant amount of stolen property and machinery before it could be sold on the black market.

Ultimately, a total of eleven people were arrested and brought before the courts, charged with membership in a criminal organization, drug trafficking, and burglary.
