March 17, 2025.- Officials from the Customs Surveillance Service of the Tax Agency in Castilla-La Mancha, and the Organized Crime Team (EDOA) of the Civil Guard of Guadalajara, have dismantled a plantation dedicated to the cultivation of marijuana indoors in a home in the municipality of Uceda (Guadalajara). In the operation, dubbed "Bosque," a total of 670 marijuana plants weighing 151 kilos, a weapon, and €300 in cash were seized. One person was arrested and charged with crimes against public health, illegal possession of weapons, and electricity fraud.

The operation that led to the dismantling of the plantation on March 7 began at the beginning of the year, thanks to the collaboration of neighbors, who noticed the strong smell of marijuana coming from the area surrounding the property.

The initial investigation ultimately culminated in the entry and search of the property, where a total of 670 cannabis sativa plants were found in various stages of growth and flowering. These plants were located in the garage and attic of the property and were adapted for illegal cultivation with the necessary infrastructure. Thus, it had a perfectly arranged and necessary electrical installation that allowed it to supply the various air conditioning and air extraction devices, lighting and heat lamps, and an irrigation system. All of these items have been seized, as well as numerous fertilizers used to promote plant growth. The seized drugs would have had a potential market value of more than 282,500 euros.

During the operation, a foreign national was arrested, charged with crimes against public health, illegal weapons possession, and electricity fraud. The investigation remains open, and further arrests are not ruled out.

Finally, the existence of illegal connections to the electricity supply (electricity fraud) was clarified thanks to the actions of the officers, who allowed the detection of direct connections to the power grid.

The operation was carried out by the Guadalajara Operational Unit of the Tax Agency's Customs Surveillance Service, in collaboration with the Guadalajara Civil Guard's Organized Crime Team (EDOA).
