A criminal group dedicated to drug trafficking has been dismantled in the province of Ourense.

In the operation, eight individuals accused of a crime against public health for drug trafficking were arrested and three drug retail outlets were dismantled.
March 20, 2025.- The Ourense Customs Surveillance Unit of the Tax Agency, in collaboration with agents of the Organic Unit of Judicial Police of the Ourense Civil Guard Command (Organized Crime and Anti-Drug Team (EDOA)), within the framework of Operation 'Farlopa', have dismantled a criminal group dedicated to drug trafficking in the province of Ourense with the arrest of eight individuals and the dismantling of three drug retail points.
The operation began in late 2024 after becoming aware of several drug sales points in areas near schools in the town of Verín.
Investigators subsequently exploited the operation, which took place on March 19 in the town of Verín, where eight people were arrested and three house searches were carried out.
During the searches, officers seized 350 grams of marijuana, 23 grams of cocaine (packaged and ready for sale), five grams of heroin, 16 grams of hashish, nine grams of MDMA, 52 ecstasy and opiate tablets, 250 grams of cutting agent, four simulated handguns, equipment for handling and packaging drugs, precision scales, mobile phones, €6,000 in cash, and various documents related to the crimes.
The operation is being led by the Investigative Court No. 1 of Verín and the Anti-Drug Prosecutor of the Ourense Prosecutor's Office.
