New Single Entry Point for the Application for Control of Imports of Organic Products from Third Countries (PUE-ECOS)
Control and inspection of the import of organic farming products or products in conversion from third countries is carried out by the SOIVRE Inspection Service as established in Order ECC/1936/2014, of October 16, which establishes control and inspection standards for the import of organic farming products or products in conversion from third countries.
From 19 February, the request for control of imports of organic products from third countries (Measure TARIC 750 - organ - Control of imports of organic products) will be mandatory through the PUE-ECOS, which offers two systems for the telematic management of requests by operators:
· Through the telematic management model within the Customs Single Window, called Single Entry Point, which consists of web services enabled by the AEAT for sending and receiving information, which will require computer development by companies or by service providers, to launch computer applications that allow interested parties to interact with these web services.
· Through forms enabled by the AEAT for sending information to the PUE, which can be accessed from the Electronic Office of the Tax Agency.
The request for control by these means may be made for a complete customs pre-declaration (PDC) or for a customs declaration (SAD, DVD).
For further information, please consult Information Note 02/2025 of 3 February from the Customs and Excise Department, regarding the operation of the single entry point of the customs single window for the request for control of organic products (PUE-ECO).
