Reminder of the content of Information Note 22/2024 on container identification for exports with indirect exit
In view of the rejections that are occurring due to the misuse of the criteria contained in Information Note 22/2024 of December 4 from the Department of Customs and Excise, on the identification of the container in exports with indirect exit , the following is recalled.
As already indicated in the news published on December 5, 2024, in order to publicize the content of Information Note 22/2024, its main objective is to: "correctly identify the container with which the merchandise declared for export at another customs office enters a customs exit area"
Therefore, if the CC507 message contains discrepancies with the declared data, particularly regarding the container, when this message is sent, it must necessarily include the actual container number with which the goods will enter the customs premises of exit.
To do this, if the export declaration, regardless of the customs office where it was submitted, in the data group corresponding to CONSIGNMENT (shipment), in the container indicator, indicates 1, it means that it is in a container. And in the TRANSPORT EQUIPMENT data group, in the container identification number data, they will include any of the following expressions: DISCREPANCYCC507 or DISCREPANCY.
In this way, when the CC507 message is sent notifying the arrival at the exit customs office, they must indicate with a 1 in "EXPORT OPERATION/Discrepancies" that these discrepancies exist in the container number field, of the transport equipment group, and include the actual container number with which the merchandise will enter the exit customs premises.
Since the system described in NI 22/2024 is being used for Export Declarations Filed in Member States of the Union other than Spain, and the Spanish customs office of exit, the indicated criteria must be met. And the container number must be included in the CC507 message, otherwise the message will be rejected.
