  • Make a list of natural disasters that have occurred in the world during the last three years, due to floods and inundations, hurricanes and monsoons, earthquakes and tsunamis; or by volcanic eruptions.

  • Learn how alerts work and what they are for. Present your conclusions in the form of recommendations.

  • Make a map of all the places where these disasters have occurred.

  • Compare how the effects of an earthquake are resolved in Iran or Japan. Do you draw any conclusions?

  • Have you seen the movie “The Day After Tomorrow” (2004)? It presents the impact of “global warming” on the planet in a “catastrophic” manner. Look for references to agreements that aim to combat these phenomena.

  • Do states have the money to deal with unforeseen events like these? If so, where do these amounts come from?

  • What is the UN 2030 Agenda? What are the objectives you pursue?
