Plan a birthday party. You have to buy the gift. You have to buy food and drinks. How much money do you have to put in? Does everyone who comes to the party have to wear it? And if one can't contribute money, or can contribute less, will one still be able to participate in the party? You need to bring a video film. Can you borrow it? Whoever lent it doesn't put up any more money? We have to take pictures. Who's carrying the camera? Who is responsible for printing the photos? How many copies? How much do they cost? Will everyone have copies of the photos even if there are people who have contributed less money? Look for parallels with tax situations.
