Organization of the Tax Administration
The Tax Agency, like any large organization, is made up of different departments and services. The organizational chart of the Tax Agency is as follows:
As can be seen, together with the Tax Agency Directorate, there are:
-
A series of Departments, for the planning and monitoring actions within their area of competence.
-
A territorial organization of offices that are in direct contact with taxpayers and carry out the specific actions of the Tax Agency. These offices are the Special Delegations, the Delegations, and the Administrations of the Tax Agency. There is a Special Delegation in each Autonomous Community and a Delegation in each provincial capital where there is no Special Delegation and in certain large cities. Administrations are located in large towns and also in the neighborhoods of large cities. There are also Customs Offices in certain cities. And some virtual administrations, the Comprehensive Digital Assistance Administrations (ADI).
