New Single Entry Point for the Application for Control of Imports of Organic Products from Third Countries (PUE-ECOS)
As of today, December 2, the Single Entry Point of the Customs Single Window (PUE-ECO) and forms will be available in the Electronic Office for the request for control of imports of organic products from third countries (Measure TARIC 750-organ - Control of imports of organic products).
The control of imports of organic products from third countries is carried out by the Inspection Service SOIVRE in accordance with the provisions of Order ECC/1936/2014, which establishes control and inspection standards for the import of organic products from third countries.
For the purposes of carrying out this control, Customs has a specific TARIC measure created at community level to collect the list of products that will be affected. Specifically, this is measure TARIC 750-organ - Control of imports of organic products.
Prior to mandatory management through the PUE ECO, from December 2, two new systems will be put into operation that will coexist for a transitional period of time with the traditional management system by the SI SOIVRE, so during this period of time the request for control through the PUE-ECO will be voluntary for the purposes of testing the system:
-
Through a new telematic management model within the Single Customs Window, called Single Entry Point (hereinafter, PUE), which consists of web services enabled by the AEAT for sending and receiving information, which will require computer development by companies or by service providers, to launch computer applications that allow interested parties to interact with these web services.
-
Through forms enabled by the AEAT for sending information to the PUE, which can be accessed from the Electronic Office of the Tax Agency.
The request for control by these means may be made for a complete customs pre-declaration ( PDC ) or for a customs declaration ( DUA , DVD ).
Those economic operators who wish to send requests through this system must declare code 1234 in box 44 of the SAD. This code will only be usable during the testing period. Once the control becomes mandatory, this code will no longer be applied.
